Fabric and Finery

Ages 9-12
August 9 - 13
Monday - Friday, 1:00 - 4:00pm

Quilts and pillows, cloaks and gowns, flags and banners are just a few of the items we can make in this weeklong investigation of the fiber arts. We will learn about sewing as well as other ways to connect pieces of cloth without sewing. We will work with yarn and string and rope to make fabric by crocheting, knitting, weaving and knotting. We will also paint on fabric and make paintings with fabric.
