Introduction to Screen Printing

Originating in China during the Song Dynasty, screen printing is both popular and accessible to printers of all experience levels. Teens will bring their own original line drawings into AVA's Digital Arts Media Lab, learning how to use Photoshop to prepare the image for print. Once ready, the class will learn about the pre-print processes of screen coating and exposing. Finally, we will cover press set-up and learn how to pull prints. Students will leave the class with finished two-color prints.
