Perhaps the simplest way to create photographic imagery is by placing objects on coated photographic paper and allowing light to pass through or around them, thus creating a "shadow" image on the paper beneath. A simple development process fixes the image in place. We will experiment with the placement of different light sources, as well as with objects of various opacities, to create a myriad of abstract shapes, patterns, textures, and tones.
