These days, we frequently paint from source photographs — whether working on a portrait, a landscape or assembling an image from more than one source. How is painting from a photo different than painting from life? What are the pitfalls? How do you make a work look like a painting of something real rather than a painting of a photograph? This class will emphasize interpretation as a tool to move your paintings beyond remade photographs.
