Tai Chi has many health benefits, including improved balance, stamina, and breathing, as well as reduced stress and enhanced feelings of wellbeing. Each of these classes will begin with an introduction to the ancient art of Tai Chi, gentle stretching and relaxation (no experience is necessary; for those with limited mobility, these movements can be made in a chair). Newly refreshed, participants will then create a series of dynamic art projects, ranging from collage to mobiles and exploring the themes of movement and energy. This workshop is a unique opportunity to make new friends of all ages and discover the ways that movement and artwork can unite and complement one another.
