Interns and Volunteers
As a relatively small nonprofit organization, AVA relies on the assistance of volunteers and interns to help us accomplish the myriad tasks associated with a full slate of classes, a challenging exhibition schedule, and numerous special events. The success of AVA's Summer Art Camps for children, for example, would not have been possible without the help of our dedicated interns.
We also depend upon the capable assistance of interns to monitor our Community Art Open Studio (CAOS) program which, on Saturdays throughout most of the year, provides opportunities for families and children to work together on a variety of art projects.
In return, the interns gain valuable experience that frequently can be an important motivator, helping them clarify and pursue their career goals.
