It is a little known fact that in the not-too-distant past the large lakes and ponds of New Hampshire were practically infested by notoriously ill-mannered YELLOW DOG PIRATES. They plied their impolite trade up and down the shores of Mascoma and Sunapee Lakes and the Connecticut River, leaving dangerous artifacts, buried treasure, and maps. This class will explore the history, recreate the artifacts, and hunt for the treasure of these pirates, who would probably still hound our waterways and beaches if not for . . . . the SEA MONSTERS!
