What is it about painting that excites you? Have you seen paintings that make you want to paint? Is it the colors and forms, or the details and subject matter that intrigue you? How many ways can paint be handled? How can paint be used to achieve the results you want? Every artist’s ideas and intentions are different. Tempera, watercolor, and acrylic paints have distinct properties. We will focus on one of these media at each of the first three classes, with the opportunity to create your own paintings at your own pace. During the fourth class, we will learn to stretch and prime a canvas. The fifth class will be devoted to the painting of your masterpiece!
