An exhibition of poems from a new collection by Partridge Boswell of Woodstock, Vermont, titled In Hindsight, A Happy Accident, will be on display in AVA Gallery and Art Center’s Gallery 3 along with linocuts by Josh Yunger of South Strafford, Vermont. The exhibition opens at AVA, 11 Bank Street in Lebanon, New Hampshire on Friday, May 30 with a reception from 5 to 7pm, and will remain on display through June 28. 

A poetry reading by Partridge Boswell will take place on Thursday, June 19, at 7pm.

Singer/lyricist of the musical group The Cows, Boswell produces live music, theater, dance and spoken-word performances as director of Pentangle Council of the Arts in Woodstock, Vermont. He is a trustee of Harbor Mountain Press and a former editor of the online journal poetryfish.

Yunger is a printmaker, painter, musician and stay-at-home dad. In the early 1990’s, while still in high school, he began taking art classes at AVA, studying for many years with Clifford B. West. He had his first solo show at AVA in 1998, the year he received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Yunger’s prints have appeared in many books and magazines. His band, the Ologists, released their first album, Eyebology, in 2007. Yunger is a member of AVA’s faculty, teaching printmaking as well as classes for kids.  During the week of July 21 through 25, he will be teaching a summer art camp for ages 6 to 10 called Instrument Construction.
