Mosaic is a free, widely expressive, and forgiving medium, and this class will explore its painterly possibilities. Using mosaic tesserae (glass, stone, pottery, found objects, mirror, china, and more), we will create abstract and realistic compositions. No painting or drawing experience is necessary. Students may interpret an existing painting or create one to interpret. Basic composition and design will be covered.
